Rodney Watson Gouache Western Painting "Summer School" has beautiful detail work and you are getting two paintings, a small one on the matt, which is unusual. Watson has built a reputation as a talented Western artist known for his pen-and-ink drawings as well as landscapes and characters. He is what is known as a cowboy artist, chronicling scenes of landscapes, animals and people who live the western lifestyle. He uses gouache (opaque water paint) exclusively now. He is also Museum Director at Wayland Baptist University. This is one of his paintings from 1986 and it is copyrighted. the frame size is 21 1/2"x 24 3/4", the large picture is 11"x 14".
